1720 - Violin 1/4 "Gillott"

Soundboard of spruce to narrow vein. Back of two pieces of curly maple to medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Head with a shield instead of a scroll. Golden brown varnish.
