1539/77 - Viola "Lord Wilton"
It is a tenor viola reduced in size. The belly is two-piece of spruce, of medium even grain, widening toward the edges. The lower “F-holes” are wider than the upper ones. The back is two-piece of pearl curly maple. The ribs are of maple, of narrow curl. The scroll is original, of good maple. In the left channel, a small brand stamp is visible: up to this time, this brand has not been explained yet.
