1716 - Violin "Salabue - Le Messie - Messiah"
Soundboard of spruce to narrow vein that widens at the flanks, sound holes noteworthy for their unusual slant. Back of two pieces of curly maple on somewhat irregular medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Scroll of curly maple with edge blackened. Neck original but modernized. Clear orange-brown varnish.
