1847 - Violin

Soundboard of two pieces of fir. Back of curly with braod curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the top. Ribs of the same wood of the back, except for the top and bottom right, which were replaced at a later date. Bridge with stamp in focus: G. Bertolazzi / MILANO. Scroll of curly maple with broad curl. Orange-brown varnish.
