1785 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce medium grain, narrowing slightly towards the center. Back of two pieces of curly maple with broad curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the bottom. Ribs and scroll of wood matching to that of the fund. Yellow-brown varnish.
