1780/85 - Violin

Soundboard of spuce with vein from the narrow of media. Back of two pieces of curly maple with faint narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the bottom, with original additions in the lower lobes. Ribs of curly maple at medium curl. Scroll perhaps of a later period. Gold varnish.
