Soundboard of spruce at large vein, which widens towards the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple with faint broad curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the top. Ribs of curly maple at medium curl. Scroll of smooth maple. Red-brown varnish on a golden ground.
