1740 c. - Violin

Spruce soundboard in of medium width grain, very open towards the bass flank. Back of two pieces of curly maple with faint narrow curl more or less horizontal. Ribs of wood similar to that of the bottom, but the centrals are not originals. Scroll of plain maple. Orange-brown varnish on a light ground.
