1730 c. - Violin "Muir-Mackenzie"

Soundboard of spruce with irregular vein. Back of two pieces of curly maple to medium-narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the bottom. Ribs of wood similar to that of the Back. Scroll of curly maple to slightly plainer curl. Red-brown varnish on a golden ground.
