1725 - Cello "Baudiot"

Soundboard of spruce with handwritten inscription inside of Hill 1894. Back of two pieces of curly maple on medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top, with the following inscription in manuscript in French:  "Le 10 mai 1850 / Mons.r le docteur Guillié a aquis / de Madame Baudiot pour sa bien aimée / Allant Therèse le present instrument qui apartenu à Mons.r Baudiot, professeur au conservatoire royal de Musique / de Paris moiennant le prix de Dix milles francs. / Guillié".
