1722 - Violin "Rode"

Soundboard of spruce to narrow vein of the junta, which widens towards the sides, hemmed in inlay ivory diamond and circles in ebony stucco. Back of one piece of curly maple with medium curl descendant to the left, edged with inlaid ivory diamonds and disks in black stucco. Ribs of curly maple to curl a bit broad than the back, decorated with plant shoots populated by eagles and dolphins drawn in black ink. Pegbox of curly maple to curl a bit broad than that of the back, decorated with branches drawn in black ink. Orange-brown varnish.
