1720 - Cello "Piatti"

Soundboard of spruce to vein well marked that widens slightly towards the treble side. Back of two pieces of curly maple on medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs of curly maple to curl larger than that of the back. Scroll of wood similar to that of the back. Rich red varnish.
