1718 - Violin "Firebird"

Soundboard of spruce to medium grain. Back of two pieces of curly maple with narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Scroll of curly maple on medium curl. Orange-red varnish on a gold ground.
