1702 - Violin "Lyall"

Soundboard of two pieces of spruce narrow grain at the center, which widens very towards the flanks. Back of one piece of curly maple with irregular narrow curl, descending to the right. Ribs of curly maple to a little curl more pronounced than that of the back. Scroll later, perhaps by Giuseppe Rocca (Hill 1949). Orange-brown varnish.
