1696 - Violin "Steinthal"
Soundboard of spruce at narrow grain to the side of the treble, which widens towards the bass. Back of two pieces of curly maple on medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs and scroll of wood similar to that of the back. Golden-orange varnish.
