1696 - Violin "Count de Cabriac"

Soundboard of spruce at narrow grain to the center, which widens towards the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple to medium-large curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs wood similar to that of the back, those below marked with a fleur-de-lys. Scroll of p'lain maple. Golden-brown varnish.
