1696 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce with medium grain that widens at the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple with medium-broad curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the bottom. Ribs of curly maple cut on the slab and with curl less pronounced. Scroll of curly maple with medium curl. Golden brown varnish.
