1672 - Violin "Gudgeon"

Soundboard of spruce medium grain. Back of two pieces of curly maple on medium curl, glued to slight herringbone with apex at the bottom. Ribs and scroll of curly maple cut on the slab and at faint curl. Golden brown varnish.
