Sold between 1841 and 1843 by Matilde Cozio to Luigi Tarisio, it was sold by the latter to J.B. Vuillaume and, after the death of the luthier, it was purchased by Gand & Bernardel Freres, at the Hôtel Drouot, in 1880; in the same year it reached the C.N.S.M. Paris.
