di Stradivari Antonio
Violin bow - 1700 c. (attributed)
It has a fluted stick, perhaps inlaid later (probably in the mid-eighteenth century) in Spain, with colored fruitwoods. One side of the frog mahogany (built before 1788) has inlaid the weapon of Spain in honor of King Charles IV (1788-1808). On the opposite side is inlaid with the monogram of sovereign. The reason for "beak swan" is typical of the tip of the arches of this period.
